Absolutely fantastic trip. Captain Larry and First Mate Bill made the trip amazing. Lots of fish in the boat. Kept 8 triggerfish and had an incredible dinner back at the rental in Rehoboth. Would 100% recommend!! He ensured the trip was EXACTLY what we were looking for. For a family trip it cannot be beat. I got the distinct impression that if you’re an experienced angler he can take you to the next level. Will be back.

We had a perfect day for fishing, and Captain Larry got us on fish right away. He was professional, knowledgeable, and made the trip easy and enjoyable. The boat was immaculate, comfortable, and well-kept. We caught around 45 fish, including two keeper flounder and five keeper sea bass. The sharks were a little pesky, and we even hooked one, which interrupted the fishing for a bit, but it was still really cool to experience. The marina was easy to find and had a restaurant where we enjoyed lunch. We wished they offered cook-your-catch service, but we cooked the fish ourselves that night, and it was delicious. We would not hesitate to book again.

The captain and mate were top notch. The captain was very attentive, and the mate was always on top of everything. They put us right on some big knotheads, and we came home with 23 keepers. We also threw back a bunch of smaller fish, along with two flounder and a lingcod. Overall, it was a great day on the water. I would love to do it again and definitely recommend the Malakai.

We lucked out with gorgeous weather. For an early season trip we did well. Caught over 40 Tog and a couple sea bass although we could only keep five Tog. Captain Larry and his first mate worked nonstop repairing our lines. We lost a lot of gear to snags and kept them both very busy. They’re really good guys and it was a great day fishing on the water with them. We’ll go back! Thank you both for a good time.

Makai - Captain Larry and his First mate, worked hard and were great to fish with. The water conditions weren’t ideal for fishing due to the recent storms, but they both put in a yeomans effort to get us on fish. We caught enough to have a very nice lunch! Thanks to you both for your efforts and making it fun. We will see you again next year. Tight lines!

Our group of four headed about 12 miles offshore, and the captain and first mate were fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and focused on making the trip enjoyable. We fished for 4 hours and had steady action the whole time, landing 5 keeper flounder, 5 keeper sea bass, plus a few croaker and stripers. Couldn’t have asked for a better day—thank you!

The water was a bit rough after the hurricane, but the captain went above and beyond to make sure we had a great trip. He worked hard to find the fish and kept us in the action, landing bass, flounder, sharks, and even chasing mahi mahi. The boat was brand new, in excellent condition, and the Sea Keeper kept us steady even 20 miles offshore. Highly recommend!

This was our family’s first time fishing on the ocean, and the captain made it a great experience. He got us on fish quickly, walked us through everything, and was patient and encouraging with my kids. We brought home enough fish for a delicious dinner, and my son even had the chance to fight a shark before it broke free. We’d gladly recommend this captain and crew and are already looking forward to coming back next year.

My son and I had a very successful day of fishing. The Capt and first mate took care of all the prep before launching, and during the trip they would reset all of the lines keeping us fully operational immediately after every catch, with bait on hooks and ready for dropping in throughout our 6-hour trip. They brought us to excellent locations and kept us active — the fish were biting all day. The ride out and back in was quick and smooth.

Tremendous day! Capt Larry and 1st mate Bill are absolutely the best. They make the trip as easy as possible to manage and definitely set you up for success. The boat is fantastic and in prime condition, extremely clean and very well equipped. These guys have the "feel of the room" for the group and made this an incredible experience for me and my three sons today.
